Gaspode
just slot Buxton in his place - won't even notice the difference.....
p.shilton
Thinking can't be arsed to go to the games anymore- he is about the only player worth watching and he has been poor lately anyway
nfb
Maybe a bit of a 'rest' will do him good...... Maguire, lol,i think gaspode is right,NC would rather play Buxton out there 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
lil_miss_s
Jamie hasn't been on top form in the last few games which makes me wonder whether he has been playing with a slight injury. Ben Davies would be the likely choice for me but he seems to not even be making the subs bench at the moment :/
p.shilton
Clough was saying yesterday that Bavies was not out of his plans and is the 17th man at the minute- with Jamie out it should pave the way for him to return. It would be interesting to see Theo given a start in Wardies role I think and see what he can do. I would have Theo on the left, Tyson or Bavies on the right and Maguire through the middle. Very much doubt Clough would try this but we may see Savies getting a start at CF
WilkoRam
Theo on the left? Can't see that working, his touch is awful he only works in the middle where his pace compensates. I imagine Naylor will start and we'll see 4 CM's across the middle
randombc
Suppose if we were deseperate, we could bring Steve Davies onto the wing, or Ben Davies on the right, and Tyson on the left with Davies/Ball and Robinson up front
ladyram
It's fair to say Wardy has not had a fantastic February but he still remains one of the best players in the squad. I wish he'd stop diving about all over the place though, cos he does do it.

I imagine Naylor will start and we'll see 4 CM's across the middle Just thought it might be worth a punt as he always seems to end up there anyway! We definitely need to shake things up and its a shame to say but Ball just isn't good enough (yet?) to play as our CF- maybe he will grow into it but he clearly isn't the answer. Maguire needs to be given a game, or Savies (not a fan though) or Theo. Would be nice to see us play a real attacking game like earlier in the seasons and not just holding on and hoping for the best. If confidence is the problem then playing with those negative tactics isn't going to help any!

lil_miss_s
Wonder if we will do a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-2 for Birmingham
Asanovic
Will Hughes? Didn't he come on for Ward against P'Boro and played on the left for the two mins he was on?

If confidence is the problem then playing with those negative tactics isn't going to help any! Agree about Ball but then it's a big ask for a youngster to be the only main striker. I would like to see Tyson out wide and I'd even take B Davies back on the right. But then I'd play Maguire behind the front man of Robinson with Bryson and Bailey in the middle and I know it won't happen. Oh well now Fabio has gone maybe I can at least get excited by England games again. I just await similar excitement from Derby.

Perky1106
I say take a gamble and see what Hughes can do. Tyson has been toss. Bavies is right-sided. Theo would be out of his depth as he is a centre-forward. Although I guess Buxton could cover, as he is left-footed. p.shilton
Stick Roberts down the left as he is the only one that seems interested in getting crosses in at the minute. We could play " " at LB as that's how much cover we have.
lil_miss_s
Clough: Ward is struggling for Saturday. Will be assessed over the next 48 hrs. Bryson still struggling with his achillies and is not able to train every day. Maguire needs to keep plugging away and prove he is listening to what he has been told.
