SSD Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 Southampton defender Dan Seaborne has been seriously injured after being assaulted outside a nightclub. The 24-year-old was found lying on the ground with serious head injuries. He was attacked in the early hours of Friday morning outside Junk nightclub in Southampton, Hampshire police said. It appears the centre-half had been inside the city centre club with friends earlier in the evening and an argument took place. The row then escalated outside and police were called to the scene at around 2.51am. Seaborne was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Southampton General Hospital. The Southampton lad should never have been within a million miles of Junk. Dreadful place in a dreadful part of town that makes the Coconut look like the Monte Carlo casino. Southampton has some unpleasant parts (what town doesn't), but they are easily avoidable. The Saints lads used to hang out around the Leisure World complex, which is generally a bit more salubrious. To suppose it was because he was a footballer "giving it the big I am" or that it was because of female attention is ridiculous!
