CumbrianRam
Maybe Deeney didn't sign that contract extension he was offered?
duncanjwitham
Isn't Deeney out injured for quite a while? If so, it's no different to Green not getting one yet.
NorfolkRam
Bywater hasn't got a number AND he didn't play in the friendly. Something could be up with this. I wonder if it has anything to do with his career threatening miraculously recovered for a loan to cardiff injury he may or may not have suffered last season? NorfolkRam
May I also stress the fact that kwame Thomas has NOT I repeat NOT got a number. I believe he is cromer young for a contract and his parents a rather strict and against him having a pay as you go sim card.

Barker has been given a number, he's out for quite a while as well. Not sure I buy the being injured theory, Green missing I would guess is down to a typo and the rest are a clear message of who is not wanted....in my opinion of course. nikandjb
Green is out for months or so, I reckon that he's not really expected to feature this season which is why he hasn't been allocated a squad number.
CumbrianRam
A doctor was on RD about Green's injury when he picked it up and he said 5 years ago it would have been a career ender. Nowadays he could recover from it but he said he would probably be out for at least a year.

Have we had any confirmation that Barker is out for quite a while? I know we heard that the injury was worse than first feared, but everything I've heard points to Barker at least being back in some kind of training by the opening game, even if he's not actually ready for that game. Whereas Deeney is out for months iirc.
dcfcdavecov
Well if it's anything like the EPL, what would be the point of paying to register injured players, if you have to submit registration again in January? Green will probably be given a number in January if that is the case. Only guessing mind.

Was talking on Rams Player for the commentary at Burton and he's only just had his brace taken off, he's off to London this week with Green to see the specialist. No time frame mentioned although I'm sure I read somewhere they were hoping to have him start training again in September.
