smiffy
So ,sell Varney, that will cover all three signings, and the Yanks will seemingly have spent f/all again.
Drifter
According to the back page of the DET, Derby have agreed a loan deal with an "unnamed pacy striker" for next week. It also claims that they are close to landing a central defender as well, he is about 10 days away from full fitness after picking up a knock, but it's not Glenn Loovens. The striker should be with the squad in time for next wednesday's senior cup tie against Chesterfield. Clough says "we have been promised a striker next week but the club he is coming from just want to get their game at the weekend over" Me thinks it may be Waghorn from Leicester as the Mercury have quoted Sven in saying that he can go out on loan, but they just want to ensure Vassell gets over his knock. As for the defender, I haven't a clue. The injured defender we are also loaning! What a great addition!

Drifter
this could be true? http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=705348 I'm not sure about giving them Darren Leacock in exchange though. He's one of my favourite non-existent players.

We have a CB coming in though. Could explain it. He was the lad from Chesterfield wasn't he? I wouldn't mind him at all.

Thornhill
There are alot of possibilities really, James Vaughan is back to Everton now too, though I think it'll be somebody from the championship.

prodgers
I don't know to much about Waghorn but I was watching a Leicester match on tv the other week, Waghorn came on and they called him a "pacey striker". I've Googled "Waghorn Pacey" and it has come up with a few match reports describing him as that.... http://www.lcfc.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10274~51758,00.html Might be crazy but I'm starting to think maybe The Mirror and Daily Star could for once have been spot on. I have a Leicester fan at work, and he is friends with a number of their players - he told me yesterday that Derby were talking to them about Waghorn. He did cost £3m when signed, so I doubt it will be a permanent, he is young, out of the picture at Leicester now and fits the 'pacy striker' requirement. Good if we get him until end of season. Boycie
I'm not going to name him until the club do it officially, bad form you see.
Srg
Poor form? It's stating the bleeding obvious. When Luke Moore went back every single one of us could say "we are going to sign a striker on loan, but not telling you who. "
Boycie
Oh, the pacy striker isn't Steve Howard on roller skates either.
prodgers
I think you're lieing. Where abouts in Warwickshire are ya at Prodgers? Why would I want to lie? I could just as easy said Keane was coming instead - just letting ppl know what I have been told. Take it or leave it - anyway I work in Leamington and live outside Coventry, and you?
