PearTree Ram
Just found this... Bring Me Sunshine: The Story of a Man, His Mate and Their Magic http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0956701701/ref=kinw_rke_tl_1 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412A88g1LiL._SL500_AA300_ 'Bring Me Sunshine' is a new book from the pen of Andy Faber, released on November 1st by Hop Media. Inspired by the bestselling book 'The Damned United', it focuses on the managerial life of Brian Clough and his mate Peter Taylor apart from the famous 44 days at Elland Road. Andy combines his own recollections of the glory days of Derby County and Nottingham Forest with dramatic and often moving fictionalised passages imagining the relationship between the two men, and the demons they both dealt with as they became heroes in not one but two cities. Should be a very intresting read. Could it be another Damned? The book that is? I'll be reading it, to check it out. Interesting. Very Interesting. Boycie
Is there any new news in all these books about the pair PTR? Anything you didn't know?
PearTree Ram
Don't know. Not read it. Fair enough the vast majority you will have heard about before. But it's always interesting to get someone elses pespective. Seems to want to jump on the 'damned' book success,so i wonder if it is anything like it. PearTree Ram
I received a message from Amazon today telling me that they were unable to obtain this book. They tell me that their supplier has informed them that the item is no longer available?

Boycie
There was an alternative ending in this one, where they stayed at Derby and they won everything available, retired and Notts Forest stayed a lower league club who nobody had heard of. Boycie, you mostly talk total shitenhousen, this time, you're up there with Shakespeare and Wordsworth. If Jack Kirkland had'nt questioned Peter Taylor's role then Forest would'nt have happened. Clough and Taylor would have gone on to win 6 or 7 Championships and 3 European Cups with Derby, at least. Their Derby team was that good. It would have only needed one big signing a year to maintain it, plus one or two coming through the ranks like Steve Powell or the odd non-leaguer like Roger Davies.
