Sad news today that founder member of the original Quo Alan Lancaster has died aged 72. The Quo provided the background noise to my teenage years at their peak in the 70’s.
 

I saw the ‘Frantic Four’ play three times on their Reunion gigs in 2013/14 and seeing Alan on stage again in fine voice despite clearly physically struggling was very emotional. Rest in Peace Alan a great rock bass guitarist and singer.

Sad day. Saw Quo live several times over the years and particularly in the 70s when they were at their peak performance wise.

Really liked their early stuff before they became a bit of a parody of themselves. But they never took themselves too seriously, so all was good and their Christmas shows became a bit of a legend in themselves!
