Just listened to him being interviewed on 5Live about cancer and in particular about young Bradley with whom he had such a close and touching relationship.

He still gets choked up now. It was a lovely interview. Catch it if you can. Not all footballers are bad boys.

I was always I impressed with the dignity that the parents of Bradley Lowery conducted themselves and the absolute warmth and compassion of Jermaine Defoe himself whenever you saw him interacting with their son.

When you see football players getting drunk and crashing into inanimate objects, breaking Covid lockdown rules to have hair cuts it just puts into further highlight how some of them they do not take their positions of responsibilities as nearly as serious as they could and should do.

When they read stories like this if they do not feel thoroughly ashamed of themselves then there is something missing in them as a human being.
