Perky1106
I live opposite a totesport but I don't bet much. I might put a fiver on Brazil to win though, because getting 25 quid back is nothing to be sneezed at.
GboroRam
Can I bet we are all saying shortly after the first game, that playing both Gerrard and Lampard in the same team doesn't work - because we'll either play Gerrard on the left and not get the best out of him, or both of them in the middle where they spectacularly fail to impress anyone? Jonny Red
Brazil or Holland to win it for me...if they win their groups then they're scheduled to clash in the quarter finals. Golden boot...Fabiano (Brazil), Milito (Argies) or Villa (Spain) or as a dark horse Suarez of Chile.

Day
You keep telling yourself that. Just made my first bet of the World Cup at Ladbrokes. Gerrard to score first and win 2-1 against USA, a fiver on at 45/1 Grrrrr!
GboroRam
went 1-1 on the cagey opener factor. if i'd remembered we've got a w@nk set of keepers I might have been more of a pessimist.
CumbrianRam
Grrrrr! Blame Heskey.
GboroRam
blame heskey? although he's not there as an outright goalscorer, blame the linkup man for not cancelling out another shocking mistake that our inadequate keeper has made? I truly hope that is Green's last game in an England shirt. One mistake we can ignore: two,nor so easily. Lets hope Calamity is fit, or the occasion doesn't get to Hart. To be honest I like the look of Hart. Give him the chance.
Day
I thought Heskey did alright, nice reverse pass to put Gerrard in for his goal. He maybe should of stuck his chance away but he's not the natural goalscorer, plus don't forget he hasn't played a full game since March isn't it? If we're going to point the finger there's only one person and that's Green, after he chucked it in the net we took a while getting started again. Boycie
If heskey hadn't done a back pass instead of a shot when he was one on one, then we'd have won. Mind you, if Green hadn't saved the other one, then it'd be 2-2.
Day
If Heskey hadn't of passed to Gerrard we would of lost 1-0, if me Auntie had a willy she'd be my Uncle blahdy blah.
trigger
truly gutted at england, gerrard good for first 15-20 mins , i thought heskey did ok lampard was sh1te and green does not install confidence into his defence at all, after that performance he has to go.! Day
Did Lampard play last night?.....oh yeah he blasted that free kick over.
GboroRam
And Ledley King subbed off with a groin problem too, doubtful for the next game. In the pub last night getting harassed by some random guy insisting that this is "our best team" in ages (to the point I had to go talk to "a friend", just to get away from him). With the injuries we've got, and the question marks over several key positions (right back, keeper, what midfield setup is best, who to play up front - is it Heskey or is it Crouch, or is it Rooney on his own?) why have we got all caught up in this again? Its another campaign with quarter final written all over it. Hey ho, 2014 might be better.
Day
What about Milner? Thought he had a poor half hour, lack of experience saw him booked early on and Capello was right to drag him off otherwise we'd be down to 10 men.
