Whittaker was nominated despite only playing in 1 U23 game (due to playing in 5 first team games) but still equalled Chong's goal contribution over two games. It seems Chong benefited from scoring 2 in an EFL Trophy defeat and getting half an hour for the first team when they had already won the game. Based purely on PL2 games Sibley would have won it - no one had more goal contributions than him and matched by only Whittaker in Div 1. He also completely ran the show in both games.

These are the nominees with all except Whittaker playing in 2 games.

Sibley - 3 goals (Div 1)
Whittaker - 1 goal, 2 assists (Div 1 - 1 game)
Gwargis - 2 goals (Div 1)
Muskwe - 2 goals (Div 1)
Chong - 1 goal, 2 assists (Div 2)
Jones - 3 goals (Div 2)
