Restoration Nightmare / Help my house is falling down

these were a couple of Sarah Beenys quite interesting home restoration shows but also quite aptly named for where we are at the end of this season.

what she did quite cleverly was make a living by restoring tumble down houses.

In the main this was due to the house in question being old and uncared for and getting worse over the time and the net result was they had become worthless.

Hopefully Mel used to be a fan of Sarah an her assets and watch it as he needs to be aware that our house starting to crack, our sub structure is questionable and the subsidence is setting in, the foundations are crumbling and the roof is sagging.

as for the wiring well that is a full on fire hazard and should have been done ages ago.

the kitchen needs a revamp and the bathroom still has one of those dividing walls so someone can defecate whilst not interrupting the one in the bath.

Some would say we need the wrecking ball crew coming in, a complete rebuild they cry, yes we do but how are we going to do it ? it costs money, lots of money and Mel has made it clear that he is not chucking to much more of his hard earnt away on a whim.

he has had his fingers burned, he doesn't like throwing it away, he has maybe learned aswell that buying success at a football club costs a lot more than he first anticiapted, look at Chelsea and man city they were both yo yo clubs in the 80s and 90s and it has taken a lot more that £30mil to bring them success.

so if melly mel isn't going to put in the £200 million for this rebuild we are left with two options.

one get Sarah Beany in to patch everything up on a budget and make it look wonderful for a couple of years or sell what we have and cut our losses,

moving to Australia or Spain is not an option on this show !!.

What we have is a load of old tat that's getting older but unlike 18th century antiques or fine wine its not appreciating in price.

we have the equivalent of this Kilburn car boot sale, every body is just walking straight past, nobody wants to buy any of it, its a load of old mis matched worthless tat that's full of chips and cracks and is perfectly summed up by the two large pots that are £25 for the pair, it all going to end up costing the stall owner to store it because he cant sell it.

80% of it needs taking straight to the tip

it looks like we need to find a Sarah Beeny to help Gary out !!

Harsh but true. How long would you take over this demolition. Change more than a third of a team a season and you become relegation candidates. Old age will retire players naturally but you get no return on them.

I think this was our last shot at promotion for several years and it missed.

Did Warnock need a shed full of money to take them up, Wagner, Billy Davies even ?

This league is not the best in terms of quality, Preston, Millwall, Brentford all teams that nearly made the play offs, needing money is not always the answer.
