vicky-27
Hhhhmm will we be shouting ROONEEEEEEEY tho ? Nigel not giving anything away here. Clough finally got the chance to take a close look at Rooney, the brother of England striker Wayne, when he played for the reserves on Wednesday. The 19-year-old played the full 90 minutes in Derby's 1-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Rooney is out of contract with Macclesfield in the summer. But the Silkmen would still be entitled to a fee for him because he under 24. Rooney has scored four goals in 38 games for the League Two club, since making his debut in March 2008. Last week, Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "It's not going to be easy for him. His brother is so special so he's always going to be in shadow no matter what he accomplishes. "John's young trying to make his own way and I think he wants to be a professional and as long as he can do at that whatever level that will be a success."
