The brazen cheek of Unsworth now trying to play victim regarding the curtailing of press freedom after delivering one of the most insincere apologies I've heard has to be seen to be believed. The worst thing of all is that, in a way, I agree with her. This is really bad for the press, but maybe if our public broadcaster that we're taxed to subsidise had managed to show even a shred of journalistic integrity and not gone muck raking like some seedy ducking tabloid this wouldn't have happened. Agreed. The BBC has got so used to preaching to others it doesn't ever recognise its own failings.. And even now feels the right thing to do is to carry on preaching. The coverage of the cliff Richard investigation was like something from the gutter press, not a licence fee funded public service broadcaster. PistoldPete2
Bbc not going to appeal..." A legal cul de sac and only prolonging sir cliffs distress. " exactly. Finally someone at the BBc has seen sense.. Hopefully the BBCs previous misguided stubbornness won't stop genuine abuse victims from pursuing their claims. maxjam
Meanwhile in 'regional news' today, thirty men and one woman have been charged with offences linked to child sexual exploitation in Huddersfield. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-45193514 at least other news agencies, Sky for example, published it as a top story ?
