Johnson, Powell, Rowett and Murray have all played for Derby

Neil, McCarthy, Benitez and Pardew have all been relegated from the PL

Clough, Grayson, Caldwell and Curle have all had lower league promotions.

Wagner, Jokanovic, Phelan and Hughton... god knows, Manager of the month whilst standing in?

Playing for Derby is one of the categories, the other categories mean that only 4 of those 5 can be used as one other has to be used elsewhere.

Mansfield is not part of the answer.

One catagory may be - later managing teams they played for.

there seem to be quite a few who managed teams that they played for but i assume four from:

rowett, powell,  pardew,  johnson, caldwell and grayson

ignoring the player managers on the list.

No, sorry.

grayson powell wagner all managed huddersfield

powell mccarthy wagner and hughton all could have played fro 2 different countries

Neither of those three categories are correct I am afraid.

The Derby category is correct but only 3 of the 4 answers are right.

You have stumbled across the 'Ex Rams players' correct answer with the grace of a drunk man stumbling into a kebab shop.  None of the remaining categories concern being an interim manager though.

Ex Rams Players - Lee Johnson, Gary Caldwell, Gary Rowett and Adam Murray

Remaining Managers

Alex Neil

Keith Curle

Mick McCarthy

Nigel Clough

Simon Grayson

David Wagner

Alan Pardew

Rafa Benitez

Slavisa Jokanovic

Mike Phelan

Chris Hughton

Chris Powell

Clough, Curle, Phelan and Powell - all England Internationals with less than 10 caps?

Yes, that is correct (although it is just England Internationals as Clough has 14 caps) - fantastic work.  They are the only 4 England internationals currently managing in the Premier or Football league.

McCarthy, Grayson, Hughton, Jokanovic - all sacked within 1 month of promotion ?

Potentially, but no.

Both the remaining answers relate to the clubs they currently manage...
