Shang Posted February 2, 2016 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Butterfield plays better in a more advanced position where he can also shoot from range and get into more goalscoring positions. Hughes would easily play alongside him as the link man between Butterfield and Thorne. Ball retention would be off the charts with all 3 in the side. This would potentially be an issue if the opposition defense is to stop us from playing. Johnson offers driving runs and power up front to charge through defenses, whereas with Thorne, Hughes and Butterfield I think we would be in a position where we have found ourselves a lot at the moment; passing in front of the oppositions defense but no one taking the chance to get into the box.
