Derbydave96
Agree, he isn't good enough to push who we've had at rightback. Didn't he also play leftback at one point? If so you'd have thought he'd be able to secure the back up role, instead of naylor?
Walsall_Ram
Don't think he's good enough for full back.. Yes going defensively he can do a job but its the going forward bit he lacks. Maybe convert him to a holding midfielder and have him as back up to Thorne.
maydrakin
He isn't good enough. He's a steady lower third/ upper fourth division full back for me. Was a cheap option who hasn't stepped up. A bit of a better version of Hogansen.
nomad
I would have liked him to do well here but he most definitely isn't better than any of the other options we've had at RB in his time here and MaClaren clearly thinks thats the case as well. He isn't a terrible football player, he just needs to find his level and that appears to not be the level at which Derby are currently playing. I wouldn't agree with him that he hasn't had a chance to break into the first team. While he hasn't had competative game time since SMc came in the coaching team have seen him everyday in training for the last year and he was given game time in pre-season, during that time he has had plenty of opportunity to display his abilities and to force himself into to the coaching staffs plans but it appears they haven't seen enough from him to give him that chance. Hopefully he can get the game time he wants at Mansfield and can earn himself a permanant move to them or to someone else in the next transfer window as he clearly feels his time here is coming to and end and it would appear the coaching staff think the same.
