Tombo Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Whatched this again and it is hard to believe how **** Eustace, Keogh and Buxton were. Buxton was outmuscled by Arshavin who is 142cm tall WTF?! Dawkins was decent. With no end product at all though. Great game for young Kelle. The rest were just running. Buxton was tired from the heavy training, is a few week behind full fitness, and had been playing all game. Arshavin is in full match fitness ready for their Champions League game next week, and came on as a sub late in the game, and won't have been as heavily pushed in training like Bucko was. peakram Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Think it was one of their smaller forwards was running towards him and jumped up as George tackled him meaning that his knee (him being the smaller man and airborne) caught George's (who was more static) at speed so obviously got the full impact. Reckon in years gone by wouldn't have happened as its part of the culture that's crept in where people jump up when a challenge is made (either to avoid injury or win a free kick in the modern era).
