DCFCfranco
There are many sums for it. Depending on the number system I could name infinitely many. im sure you could. but could you show me a graph to prove this?
Albert
im sure you could. but could you show me a graph to prove this? Sadly not all problems can be solved with graphs. Here's a man playing "pool" instead: XuSDX

randombc
As you've said Albert, this age will drop further when Roberts leaves. The team has a lot more energy compared to previous seasons. When Barker returns next season out oldest player will be 30/31? How many championship teams can say that?
tinman
You could have just used football-lineups to get the data.
Albert
You could have just used football-lineups to get the data. No, as the lineup changes match by match. You could use the 'most used' lineup as a way of approximating it, but the way I used gives a much more accurate picture... you know, until I add one to the month values... ...that corrected though, it should be very accurate. Simply using the squad as a whole skews the values wildly though. So yes, it's important to take into account who plays.
needles
It's worth mentioning that the average age of the team is probably skewed downward in previous season by loanees (but we now have a coherent squad in place), and the average age of the squad players who weren't getting regular football has probably dropped massively too. As a club, we're developing good up and coming lads, rather than expensively eking out the careers of late 20-something players who haven't quite made the top grade. Teale. Albrechtsen. Stewart...replaced by Jacobs, OB and Freeman.
uttoxram75
Brilliant stuff Albert. Fact is the squad/team looks younger and hungrier, more energy, winning/drawing/scoring late on etc. Bit dodgy away just yet, but we're on't raite track.
