  1. but their happy to spend 1.9m on Adams and Kenzo so far, and another 1.4m on a new GK...
  2. I appreciate the lengthy reply, but it didnt really answer the question. How long does a 'transitional phase' last ? because we've had 2 years of warne now and gone through a lot of different players. The one thing thats remained the same throughout is the football ,tactically has been extremely poor. i'm not expecting the club to come out and say this is how we're going to play, and nor should any club, as that would be stupid. However, we don't need clubs telling us what they do to see how they play tactically. What do you mean by 'a stage in the evolution'? Nothing has changed tactically over the last 2 years. You saying 'PW doesnt yet know how to set up as he doesn't know which players the club will sign' This is a huge part of the problem. Yeah, he might want player a and player b, but end up with player c and player d, but why should that define how Derby County play football. Warne has no clear identity as a manager and therefore the recruitment team don't know what to get. Saying 'he'll figure it out when the window closes' is ridiculous in my opinion. What was the point of the start of the season and all of pre-season if he doesnt know what he's doing until 1st september? I'm not trying to be annoying, i'm trying to get peoples opinions on how we play football. So far nobody has been able to answer what Warne is doing, which i find bizarre and very concerning.
  3. your allowed an opinion, just as long as it's not the wrong one😂
  4. Does a player having a transfer fee guarantee he's better than one without ?
  5. Just saying he hopes to add better players every window is not a tactical plan. You can say that for every single manager in world football. What are derby county at the moment in terms of football identity? All I see is a one dimensional, highly predictable, set piece team that doesnt really know how to press, control a game, or impose themselves on any opposition.
  6. That's just what he Hope's to achieve. What's his actual plan on the pitch ?
  7. Actually they did break through/beat our press on several occasions. It's just because they are national league/league 2 quality players that they never quite got the final pass right. Thats why I'm worried what will happen when we play against championship quality players
  8. if they had championship quality players, i.e the sort we'll be playing against for the next 45 league matches, we would have lost the game.
  9. no it isn't because playing that way always leaves big gaps in midfield. It generally works in league 1 or lower because the opposition doesnt have the quality, but at this level or higher it is not a valid tactic.
  10. 12 shots to 6 considering the huge gap between the clubs and the fact we were at home is really nothing to shout about. However, its not just about how many shots there were. Chesterfield controlled large parts of the game and played it through/around us very easily at times. Our pressing was yet again completely disjointed, and if it wasnt for the fact the majority of their players are National league / League 2 quality we'd have been in real trouble.
  11. they weren't even in the football league until last week
  12. Tactics on the pitch cost nothing.
  13. he was managing in a much easier league than all the others
  14. to say he was a 7/10 in last 12 games is even more hilarious to me
  15. i think he's talking specifically about the stoke game. Bradley's only real strength is his heading. You can mostly get away with this in league one, but when he comes up against championship sides every week that actually want to play football, his lack of pace, decision making, etc, etc, will unfortunately be found out. We saw examples of this in league one with some of the teams that try to play good football.
  16. that was sheff utd that scored that 'goal' Villa finished 11th that season, almost 30 points clear of relegation
  17. You mean the marriott that scored one and was so close to getting another? Or the marriott that came on and completely changed the play off v leeds with 2 goals?
