  1. Ok- but not great. Glad we are winning but there seems a lack of zip with the team and the crowd… But just so long as we win…. COYR !!! (Still not sold on JJ…🤷)
  2. Worried about this ref. Two absolutely blatant yellow cards for Burton not given… spends as much time talking to Nelson who was the one fouled ! Obvious really , but we need that second asap. What price a late Burton penalty!?😳
  3. Think we need to be playing a higher tempo game
  4. Hard to tell but is the crowd somewhat quiet again ??? We need atmosphere to draw the ball into Burton’s net !!
  5. Cutting off your nose despite your face if it makes the difference between going up or not. All about opinions of course, but i believe Joe brings more to our overall play than Vickers…
  6. Mistake imho. Vickers loves kicking long too often and it doesn’t benefit us at all.
  7. I honestly believe a player like Brannagan really could be the big missing piece of the jigsaw as far as or team’s development is concerned. More important than another wide player in my view. I say that because we really tend to be a single plan team at the moment- give it to Cash or Nelson, who then feed it out wide and then it goes down the line… We don’t really have that Plan B of attack utilizing a good and creative thrust through the middle … Brannagan etc would bring that …
  8. Fair point and probably correct. I think PW’s point was that NML was being asked to do less defensively, but still do some. In that regard it’s noticeable that he (NML) actually still does a good amount of tracking back. Obviously the new habits have somewhat stuck !😎 Of course to a large degree it depends who they have behind them defensively and whether they are also the attacking FB/WB type…
  9. Would be nice for one of the journos to ask the Club about the pitch and its poor condition…. Genuinely interested to know why it has turned so crap …
  10. Interestingly, however, the word from the Charlton end is that he isn’t much one for fulfilling his defensive duties so that wouldn’t (at the moment -unless he can be persuaded to change his game mentality) fit in with the PW and present ‘Derby way’ . Then the question is whether the need to track back and defend negatively affects his ability to raid forward as much. I guess NML has changed his way of playing in this regard since he joined us … but it took a bit of time to adjust….
  11. Decent player at this level but if we want someone to come in and hopefully make an instant impact and really assist in or push for promotion then there seems to be better prospects elsewhere…
  12. Listening to the Ramstalk podcast it was interesting that Fletcher suggested that this ‘new’ Burton would not sit back as per usual but would happily come at Derby….
  13. I would agree with that bar Bird, who i think can step up.
  14. Hopefully they both don’t need just a point to be the auto two….. cue boring 0-0 ….
  15. Any win Monday would be great… but more pressure now and we know our guys aren’t normally good in those situations..: Have a gut feeling it will be 1-1…
  16. You jinxed it….5 mins later…..😳
  17. True. But Bolton and Posh looking strong…. Former going quietly about their business and likely to be top by end of the weekend …well, except for a match postponement 🤷😎
  18. Trouble being that if mist or all the teams around us win today then it’s just added pressure on us to do so Monday- when we aren’t very good at home in normal circumstances… Reverse situation as to when we won early at Oxford….
  19. All over them. Quite amazing
  20. From the days when we were in to sign players of Osgood’s ability… ..makes u want to cry 😢 https://www.uptheclarets.com/burnley-crash-to-big-defeat-at-derby
  21. Plus he always seems to give 100% every game…plus he had no pre-season and has been slowly building up his fitness as he actually plays in the first team… Time will tell, but I think he’s a class prospect…
  22. Intrigued by Waggy’s injury- not much has been said other than ‘calf’. I’m no sports doctor but wouldn’t the worse soft tissue calf injury be a completely torn muscle ? As bad as that is and can be I would have expected it to have healed before now. Obviously everyone heals differently, but he’s been out an awful long time… Ironic seeing as he seemed to be brought in as cover up-front and yet he’s been out so long- which does emphasize one very important aspect with Collins (touching wood) in that he’s always available…
