Brian Clough and his 2 Euro Trophies there is a factor here .. 

Strip that away from them and they're just a small provincial club with a sad fanbase hallucinating on past glories and going nowhere fast .. lol 

We are the bigger club right now ... and right now is ALL that matters...

Derby County Football Clubs'  GREATEST days were so far played out at the BBG ... 

If you think as a club we will be champions of England again ... 

If YOU think you will be seeing Benfica or Juve or Real at Pride Park in any competitive games again ..

To the poster who was questioning the Ultra Cultra back in the 70's ... 

Well my dad took me to the DCFC game v Sheff United in the season when we were CHAMPIONS of England .. 

We stood at the front in the "away" end .. Looong before the kick off .. 

I'm gazing around at the ground when all these Sheff united fans , maybe 100 or so , ran on to the pitch towards our end charging us .. 

No coppers around. Surreal. lol 

I will never forget the Derby fans from our end charging back at them and taking the corner flags (yes this really happened !) and throwing them back at the United fans ... 

Who then slunked back into the opposite end.. 

This is etched in my memory ... it's not glorification ... just how it was. OK ?

When I think back now to my childhood and going to those DCFC games at the Baseball Ground in the 70's ... The old guys I used to see ... All looooong gone I bet ... but they would've been around in the 40's watching our FA cup win ect ... 

I did'nt appreciate this then . 

I remember the "boys end" .. tucked away in the corner .. lol 

I remember watching Liverpool fans and Derby fans throwing back glass bottles on to each other whilst I was a little kid looking on in awe from the ley stand... it was like a hooligan tennis match 70's style lol 

I remember the game as a little kid when they had to bring out a tape measure to locate the penno spot .. V Citeh with Big Joe in goals ... guess who took the pen ??! lol lol 

I remember selling the RAM programme to punters walking up into the ley stand ... as a boy.. 

I remember watching Netzer and Breitner and Eusebio et al in the Euro games ... 

I remember the Franny Lee Norman Hunter punch up like it was yesterday ... lol
