  1. After 22 games, this is how DCFCFANS Forum members rate the players. The ratings are based on 375 observations (max) depending on games player by the player. Nelson is the clear leader, followed by Cashin. Top 5 is made up of 4 defenders so you can see what our season so far has relied upon. I'll be posting more analyses over this coming weekend. Surprised not to see NML higher to be honest. More analyses to come including recent improvements by Wilson and Collins.

  4. I love you, all Derby fans. I love the community we have here; I love the knowledge we share, the diverse viewpoints. I grew up in the 1970s and all we had was the newspapers. I love the experience we all have. I stood at Wigan yesterday with my 2 sons and shivered with pride at “We’re on our way..”….belted out …4,000 simultaneous voices. Thatcher tried to destroy the collective voice, society, but football is where it still exists. I may have the drink taken but feel I needed to express the sense of pride I experience whenever we travel & represent Derby. It’s special. Keep it up.
  5. Pinched from the Wigan forum. Just shows appearances can be deceiving...before the game i looked down at their number 6 and commented " who's that dumpy little fu**er ?"... well I looked up his name after the match..E. Cashin...no me neither. What a game that lad had, never missed a header or tackle. Absolute mom by a mile and just shows not to judge a book and all that.
  6. 1Wildsmith 6 Apart from a near-post block had Jack to do. 24Nyambe 7.5 Shut the trap door on McMannaman. 35Nelson 8.0 Imperious defending & game-winning goal. 6Cashin 9.0 MotM A masterclass of a centre-half display. Industry, skill, vision and barn-door bulk. 3Forsyth 7.5 Some lovely passes & unlucky to have had his goal chalked off. 2Wilson 7.5 Brought a stunning save from Mr Tickle and delivered some very cute crosses from wide-right. 22Fornah 6 Late legs brigade to see the game out. 8Bird 7.0 Brought intricate quick passing and quick press and ran the game first half. 4Hourihane 7.0 Combined well and kept the ball moving at pace first half. 5Bradley 6 Late legs brigade; busted his nose on 97. 20Elder 97th min sub. 7Barkhuizen 7.0 Lively. Great cross for Nelson’s winner but should’ve scored early 2nd half but stabbed wide. 19Sibley 6.0 Kept a grip on the game when under pressure. 11Méndez-Laing 7.0 Not as outstanding as usual but did the full 90. 9Collins 6.5 Unlucky not to score bringing out a good save from a very good opposition goal-keeper. Probably the best performance of the season. Derby were excellent and solidly dominant first half and despite pressure 2nd half we never looked vulnerable. As we sat in the mini-bus post-match a Wigan fan poked their head in and said “Well done - best team we’ve seen this season”.

  8. 9 points. We need to be confident. Stop these silly tackles in our box. It’s do-able.
  9. Great summary as always Mr Bat and I too am loving those balls from NML’s outside of his right foot…

  12. “….from Mr Bat..” That’s the bit where I snorted my wine through my nose …😲
  13. Only @David& @Boycie have access to it 😲
  14. I feel your pain. The only thing I would say is if you disappear I will really miss your player ratings which are always quality and well observed. I too have had spats with posters on here - it’s part of the territory - but I’ve learned to swerve getting into too heated a debate. I suppose we are all passionate about our Club hence things can get heated. I think the watchword now is for everybody to be more @B4ev6is #BmoreB4. Maybe, take a short break from the Forum and come back re-energised but don’t leave altogether. As for relying on Derby Telegraph site, crikey its Uber click-bait.
  15. 1Wildsmith: 6 Blushes spared by the flag. 23Ward: 6 Lovely dead balls and a well-saved free-kick. 7 Barkhuizen 6: needs a good game to get him out of his dip. 35Nelson: 7.5 Defensive record is joint top. 6Cashin: 7.5 Defensive record is joint top. 3Forsyth: 7.5 Defensive record is joint top. 4Hourihane 8.0 3 killer passes; 2 through the eye of the needle for Collo and the assist for NML. 22Fornah 6.0 Late sentry duty. 2Wilson 7.0 Delightful to watch. Amongst the architects of 2 goals. 17Sibley 7.5 Purely for that first goal which stamped the book of the subsequent victory. 5Bradley 6.0 Late sentry duty. 8Bird 6.5 Quietly effective with reverse passes and gaining repossession. 11Méndez-Laing 8.5 Motm Pace power panic-maker 39Brown 6.0 Late legs 9Collins 6.0 2 glaring fails to score. 19John-Jules 6.0 Could’ve hit the 4th but for a good save by their GK. Winning habit being acquired but isn’t consolidated until we make it 6 on the spin. Hopefully we won’t be left exposed by the January window.
  16. We know it’s a syrup @Mucker1884 which explains the Sombrero 👀
  17. If you don’t see something it isn’t clear. If you see it, it’s clear. Stop trying to split hairs @Mucker1884. The sending off was not fortunate. It was a deliberate elbow to Collo’s face - the sort of elbow that can break your nose or teeth. It was serious foul play and a straight red. No question.
  18. No. Clear red card. The guy knew what he was doing and it was an intentional smash 💥 into Collo’s face. Good spot by 4th official and credit where it’s due.
  19. Me too. What a lovely honest boy and loved his allusion to his favourite chant …an oh May-tron! Moment - 😃
