  1. I think that Rooney would be a superb CDM but strangely I don’t think PW has ever played him there even in the cups. The main issue I think is his fitness - Rooney rarely lasted the full 90 & was known for cramping up.
  2. I think we should be very confident but respect P’boro…
  3. Does she even have an Agent? 🤷‍♂️😲
  4. Interesting debate @Magicman. I agree with you. Many won’t agree. There are a few aphorisms in football: 1. Round pegs in round holes. 2. Never change a winning side. 3. Always shyte on the red side of the Trent. I think Fozzy will start. I’d start with the same XI BUT…3 games in 6 days is energy sapping. So, head says tweak the team. What do people think? 🤷‍♂️
  5. I suspect 5% of STHs will be away so 1100 fans will be “missing” . It is New Year’s Day so suspect a crowd of circa 28.5k.
  6. You’re quite right @Crewton There’s quite marked variation in average team aggregate scores (ie the sum of scores provided by each rater divided by the number of raters) and this variation correlates highly with the result ie it’s deflated when we lose and inflated when we win. The upshot is that our subjective ratings are just that…they are not a “pure” measure of how individual players “objectively” played. That said, despite the layers of subjective bias (there are probably 3 types) the obtained scores do reflect our collective “reality”. ie few would argue that Nelson & Cashin are not standouts this season. The only surprise is NML being lower than most perceive but that’s because he’s a victim of his own success ie when he doesn’t shine he’s more likely to be scored lower even though he’s still made a big contribution.
  7. I’m happy for you to hold this view; however neither decision was correct.
  8. It’s not a penalty. Happy for you to disagree. I don’t need to convince you that I’m right;
  9. That’s right. It wasn’t a penalty nor was it a free-kick.
  10. 1Wildsmith: 6 No blame for either goal. Only had 2 further moments of involvement - another free-kick which he stopped & scooped and a tame shot late on. 24Nyambe: 7 Airtight, water-tight & fireproof security system. 17Sibley: 6 Late legs fresh formation. 35Nelson: 8 Repelled at will. 6Cashin: 9.5 MotM Winning goal and assisted the equaliser. Rock at the back. 3Forsyth: 8 Goal & hit the bar. Took the game to Oxford & led by example. 5Bradley: 6.5 Late entry for sentry duty. Got the job done. 2Wilson: 7.5 Constant outlet & source of attack. 23Ward: 6.5 Late angle-poised delivery. 8Bird: 8.0 CPU. Tackle, Win the ball, Pass & repeat. Unlucky not to score. 4Hourihane: 7.5 Perpetual deliveries into the corridor of uncertainty. Slowly turned the screw on a depleted & gassed out opposition. 7Barkhuizen: 7 Lots of endeavour & swift raiding. 16Thompson: 7.5 Stooped to conquer. 11Méndez-Laing: 8 Consecutive series of jabs & outballs to the Oxford rear. 9Collins: 6 Didn’t happen. 19John-Jules: Guile & swift raiding; almost a goal. Hope he stays as there’s more to come. Nothing gives me greater football pleasure than to see my team out-football a rival whose sole tactic is to feign free kicks & penalties alongside a referee in complicit s***-housery. Fully deserved Derby, you made me feel proud in how you stood up for the beautiful game and suffocated a poor opponent into exhaustion.

  12. Foul count illustrates the Oxford game plan…
  13. Shouldve been a FK on NML there for excessive force...
  14. They're bring another defender on...attacker off. All Derby....
  15. Their keeper is very rattled...need to shoot on sight....
