FIFY Sibley's longest run in a position was at fullback. Nuff said.

👍 The midfield were all poor, well the whole forward line, and Sibs was obviously playing the position asked of him by Warne. He was hardly given the ball anywhere near goal or the final third, how surprising he didn't look dangerous. Well that one cross/shot which was a decent attempt. We'll not miss any of the midfield the way we're set up, they're wasted. Some laud Fornah for his performance but what did he actually do bar run around a bit? Where does he play, what's his position? He looks keen I'll give him that, how long will it last I wonder.

That doesn't mean they are good in possession? Cashin looks the most comfortable with the ball of the back 3 but that may just be youthful enthusiasm. We aren't set up to keep possession, game management depending on that ain't gonna happen I think.

Who and how would you have trusted to keep possession?

I suppose, why not make the 'main' change after half-time. But no I meant why make the change at all, there was (unsurprisingly) no-one in the box to sling crosses over to. Why did we need the change that was made to wingbacks?

Yes, not the tidy up. We all knew it was going to happen, if not exactly when. Is there any 'thinking' in it, it seems to happen by rote.

And that is why the first half, although there was not much in the way of end product, was better. We scored from a cross into the box - on the floor.

I'd forgotten some awful defending, how did they miss that one at the back stick that they put across the 6 yard box? We were lucky to get a point I reckon.

Well I guess so because Ward is no defender, but then who was the other wingback? I called it as a five for ease, it was a mess whatever it was.

Didn't we get Warne's idea of a 'good thing' in the second half, particularly after Hourihane went off? It was awful.

The player is running into the box with the ball, Ward is behind him and there's a challenge which brings their player down. It couldn't be anything but a penalty.

You are kidding right? We actually passed the ball about in the first half. What we got in the second half was more aimless balls high into the box and 5 at the back! 😄

We're awfully slow playing it around particularly from the back, don't think Hourihane is helping that tbh.
