  1. I don't feel like those posters are representative of everyone who wants a change of manager. There are plenty of people who have put forward entirely reasonable and logical explanations for their position. The type of people that single out players, for example Collins, would probably do so regardless of our form or who the manager is. There is unfortunately always a scapegoat in every squad. If we were challenging the top two it would be his fault if we fell short, if we were in mid-table it would be his fault and so on. I don't think categorising everyone that is concerned with the way we are being managed with people who can't help but abuse players is productive or fair.
  2. You know what brings everyone down? Poor results and poor performances. Fix that problem and all the other ones go away. More of what we saw last night will see to that. In the match thread you were the first person to come in sneering with a "oh won't the Warne out lot be annoyed" type post, like fans with legitimate concerns are somehow beneath you. You didn't engage with any counter points or debate, just deliberately provocative jabbing. Some fans overstep the mark and that is unacceptable, but lumping everyone in the Warne out camp in to the same group is no more productive than those you seek to criticise.
  3. If anything 4-0 flatters Northampton. Could have been even more of a bloodbath. They are utter tripe.
  4. Watch him miss a sitter, give away a pen and get sent off now everyone has made a fuss.
  5. Fair enough, but we can at least enjoy a big win when one comes along!
  6. Time for some fresh legs. Perfect opportunity to see what the likes of Brown can bring to the table.
  7. If this was a boxing match the ref would have waved it off by now.
  8. Exactly what we want. If we played like this with any degree of frequency none of the Warne out threads would exist.
  9. It'd be very harsh to hook someone at half time after the way we've played.
  10. As someone in the Warne out camp why would I be annoyed at the result and performance so far? I, and I'd imagine most of people who think in a similar way, would be more than happy to be proven wrong. All you're doing is poo stirring.
  11. If we played like this more often Warne wouldn't be under pressure and we'd be much higher up the table. Having said that, I suspect Northampton are absolutely dreadful.
  12. We should be hammering this lot. No mercy, let's get right in to 'em.
  13. Probably been discussed already but I was out with the nipper trick or treating. Is Cashin injured, rested or dropped?
  14. Am I the only person that thinks the line up is fine? Should be more than enough to deal with a poor Northampton side anyway.
  15. How many people are out there trying to buy football clubs? There are probably more clubs than we realise that are open to offers or actively looking for buyers and there are only so many people willing to do it. We got lucky with Clowes, will Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and whoever else is on the market privately be so lucky?
  16. If you had to guess where do you reckon we sit in terms of budget relative to the rest of the division?
  17. Then it's job done, congratulations for all involved and the question eventually moves on to how we prepare for the Championship and what sort of expectations should be set for Warne and the squad.
  18. A point I'd be willing to concede were it not for the fact we've been inconsistent for a long time, going back to February/March last year. In my mind this isn't a problem isolated to this season. I understand that Warne inherited a squad from someone else, but worryingly he was getting more out of that squad early on in his tenure than he's getting out of a squad he has had a hand in building over the summer. All the trends appear to be heading the wrong way.
  19. Don't be condescending, especially when you are ignoring the point I was making. Keeping a manager that is taking the club backwards isn't stability, it's embarking upon a managed decline. If Warne was meeting the expectations set out by the club, and the expectations he set out for himself when he joined the club the calls for stability and patience would make sense. He is currently failing on both counts.
