Imagine the pride he must’ve had writing the line below his name. What a man.

Why is everyone so concerned about him not him buying the stadium…
it’s a business deal. The worst case he wants for him, as owner, is not to loose ‘too’ much money. No one in their mind would buy a League 1 club, riddled with debt, no stadium and 5 players for 30 million… or add the stadium and pay 60 million. 60million. That’s a lot.

How about he pays the 30 million (or whatever). Gets us back into the championship, flog some decent academy prospects in the process, do some decent wheeling and dealing with players. Keep us paying the bills with club income, not going crazy with investment. Just steady.

Then in 2-3 years all of the debts been paid off by club running costs, buy the stadium back using club debt, paid off by the club. Then he has a 60 million football club, with a team, with stadium, and only debt is manageable and expected. The guys doubled his investment in 3 years, (minus running costs)….. simples!

He sells for 60 million + walks away never to return. Job done ?

Who says he doesn’t have the funds to do it? Have we not learned anything from Mel morris tenure? It’s time for Derby county to be smart and sustainable. Kirchner is obviously looking it as, why spend 20M now he can use for the squad and running of the club to get us out of league one in a shorter time frame? If he spends 20M on the stadium it’s likely that majorly eats into budget. If month to month lease payments make sense in running the club sustainably, then it’s the right option and bring the stadium back under the club as and when we are in a much healthier position to do so.
Take me for example - I’ve got my phone on a monthly payment - I have the money in my bank right now to pay it off but I choose not to. Cause I’m being prudent that if my boiler breaks for example, I need cash aside to fix something like that immediately (Obvs it’s a lot more than a phone but you see my point).
Kirchner is 34 years old and is clearly a clever man to have got himself into a position to buy a football club for 10s of millions.
We need to be realistic, no billionaire was going to come in and pay all those debts and for the stadium at 50M plus for a league one club. It was never going to happen.
I get why people on here like yourself are sceptical and worried - after some of the failed takeovers but this is clearly very different. There’s been no journalist stories to suggest anything is wrong, CK has been open so far and nothing he’s said has come out as untrue, there’s been no EFL statement to say anything negative towards this takeover since CK came back in.

    That was an easy win.
Hull offered nothing aside from a few dangerous crosses in the first 15-20 minutes.
Derby had the better chances and probably should have won by more.
