Yes, entertainment. I've no problem with shows or films that are like the finale episodes of Slow Horses. They are what they are, and done well, it's great entertainment. I'd just prefer this show, not to go in that direction. It just seems out of sync with the other episodes.

Re Slow Horses. I've watched all 3 series. I like the idea of it, and I like the overall feel of it, but ... .. . For me, it's totally ruined by the finale of each season. This descends into something that looks like a cross between a Bruce Willis film , or The A team. It's out of character with the rest of the show. The shoot out in the latest one, was so ridiculous, it didn't just ruin the last episode. They actually started that in the previous one !They must have run out of ideas or script. I also think the story lines are ridiculous, and the acting is not great either. Apart from Oldman of course, who is brilliant. The only thing that makes it watchable for me. Even though , left to my own devices, I probably wouldn't have bothered after the first series ( Mrs likes it). I'll watch series 4 no doubt. But pretty confident they'll ruin the end of that too.

I'm currently re watching this. I'm about half way through I think. I watched it when it was first broadcast, but no doubt missed some of the episodes. Really well made, and some great characters. Also probably the only show, that when I'm watching it, I never skip the opening credits!

Just looked that up and it says it has a release date of January 2024. Are you in it?

I've just re listened to the show, as I was wondering if I had the right film. I did. They both thought it was hysterically funny. One of them thought it was not meant to be that way though. To them it was just bad. The other enjoyed it, as an hysterically funny comedy film. 2hrs 56mins into Nihal Arthanayake show , radio 5 , 14.12.23.

This was being discussed/reviewed on R5 today. Both reviewers thought it was very funny. However, only one thought it was supposed to be funny. Did you think of it as a comedy?

As you said renamed, I had to look it up and see if it's where I thought it was. I saw my first gig there, in 1973. Slade, and The Sensational Alex Harvey band. Up until then, the loudest music I'd have heard would have been a school disco. My ears were ringing for the next two days 😀

I agree with you about the Moon and Mars, but I'm thinking in terms of hundreds of years away rather than decades.
