  1. That hat is beautiful. That'd cover my shiny head no problem. A shame a club haven't got it, I'd have asked Santa for one.
  2. So they sacked their old manager Chris Wilder and appointed a interim manager who then dropped back into a under 23s job when they were relegated. They then appointed a permanent manager who then got sacked after 4 months. The under 23s manager then moves back up and appointed permanent manager. They gain promotion and then the club sack this manager to then potentially reappoint Chris Wilder who got them promoted a few years ago who was initially sacked and started this chain. Absolutely love football logic.
  3. Very big positive from me. I don't mind people having a laugh with "limbs" in the back of the south stand however it's much safer having the rails there, rather than a huge weight of people all falling over and hurting someone. This system just works. For folks like myself who have been standing for years now, this is a positive step.
  4. It was a 6 out of 10 performance. First half I think we all agree wasn't good enough. Second half, once we made the subs I thought the team had more energy and created more clear cut opportunities. Big positives were defensively I thought we looked solid again, we know the Wardrobe would be a handful and Cashin and Nelson on the whole dealt with him well. Mendez Laing having a really good patch of form to drag the team along. Definitely helped Collins when we put NML upfront. Negatives, midfield was completely dire again. Hourihane and Smith, one of them needs to be dropped. How many times this season are teams going to just plough through our midfield without any fightback. Hourihane wants to play Quarter Back and by doing this he offer nothing of value going forward. Smith, he shouldn't be anywhere near the midfield. Again, offered absolutely nothing and lost his man far too many times. It's a shame Fornah does not have consistent performances yet. He's either brilliant or a rabbit in the headlights. If Fornah can play some more minutes and build confidence, he'd put Smith right onto the bench. The awful defensive protection by our midfield really pours praise on Nelson and Cashin. Our two players of the season so far. If we had Sonny Bradley playing every week, I don't think we would have such a good defensive record. Anyway, it's 3 league wins on the spin, exactly what we need if we're going to get out of this hell hole of a league.
  5. David Clowes needs his keys to the city first.
  6. Niccos is excellent, not the biggest menu but the food is very good. They do a bigger range of drinks too which is ideal for people who don't fancy a beer. Shalimar Gold has cracking food but it's very expensive in my opinion. Nearly £20 a for curry main dish.
  7. It's only the fact I put Collins on the back of my shirt last year, I made that (bad) commitment 😂
  8. Another game where we've had multiple shots at goal and scrambled a late draw. We need to put all of our resources into buying a new striker in January. Collins, love his work rate but needs 30 chances to score. Washington is hot and cold. John Jules is very injury prone. Waggy plays more as an attacking midfielder. Sonny Bradley, no wonder the Luton fans were saying he was a liability after he returned from his bad injury. Great service but passed his best. At this point, we may as well have kept Curt Davies another season if we needed another centre half. Such a shame. He has come in with this hype however all I've seen is his total inability against any pace and lack of composure on the ball. He'd be fine coming off the bench for the last 10-15 mins of games to win lots of headers, I think that's where he is at in his career. Not sure about the Warne chants from our crowd yesterday, it was a cup game and the team did create numerous chances. I'm probably one of his biggest critics, I think our supporters need to pick their battles better because I couldn't understand the abuse he was receiving when 2-0 down.
  9. This team has the consistency of a Sunday morning loo trip after a night out.
  10. Pass the ball through midfield more. We look so much more dangerous playing that way then hitting it wide to create a chance. Not passing it wide at the earliest opportunity when Crewe can flood the box with defenders.
  11. It's a shame the Radio Derby commentary isn't quite matching up with my live stream. The ITV commentary is hideous.
  12. "We apologise for the offence language being picked up through the microphones" Yes, it's a football match....
  13. They've got Loris Karius from Wish.com tonight. Loris Karius back to the bus.
  14. It's progression for me. The manager hasn't progressed the team with the resources at his disposal and I don't think this anger is purely due to the immediate results. Of course they're disappointed however this has the feeling of people being patient with the awful football over the last 9 months and now they've had enough. Bad timing to lose their cool? Possibly. I think if we showed good signs of progress before the end of last season and the first 3 months of this season, I would 100% agree that this is knee jerk overreacting because a few recent results haven't gone our way and it's dummies being spat out by the minority. Mel Morris was terrible for sacking managers just because of a bad patch over a month or two. But I don't think that's the case. There's been a lot of grumbling supporters for awhile now and this last patch has been the final straw for them, because the majority of the calendar year we have not been good enough. I respect the owner's values. I genuinely think he reckons this is a just a blip and with a few signings in Jan, we will pick up and fire up the league. The blip has been going on for far too long though and that's my major concern.
  15. Paul Warne gaining his wins in the 3rd division where as others around him played 1st or 2nd division teams. If he was managing the team in the league above I would understand it. But when you're not beat Stevenage and Cheltenham then it does throw these kind of stats into question.
  16. If that's the case then Warne will be here until the end of the season. I'm not surprised, I don't think the ownership have smelt the danger from the supporters regarding the lack of backing we have for the manager. I reckon we are one home defeat from a full on meltdown. Currently feel like I am watching the team at home dreading the reaction if we went a goal down and couldn't turn it around. I don't agree with the "knee jerk reaction" statement. The football has been dreadful for 9-10 months, I think supporters have been patient for awhile and now the contained anger has boiled over. If away supporters start calling for your head then I don't know how you can turn it around. Personally I can't remember any manager in recent history where supporters have verbally pelted them and all of a sudden the results dramatically change. I suspect the board need to save face by backing him due to the level of investment they've put into the management team. I'm all for stability by the way. If I saw some shoots of progress with a consistent plan and style every week, Warne would have many more people backing him. But there's no plan, there's zero consistency and his recruitment on the whole has been woeful so far. It comes to a point where the egos need to be dropped for the good of the club. And that time is now.
  17. 3...2...1... Boooooooooooooooooooo!
  18. I take it he'll be doing it the media duties today? That's usually a sign if he's staying or going.
  19. Having slept on it, another major concern is losing our best players in January if we're not competing for promotion. If offers come in, we'll have to sell Bird, Cashin etc. Wildsmith is one of the best keepers in the league, he might fancy being a number one in the Championship. Then it weakens the team even more. Really big couple of months coming up and we've got a manager on the ropes in the 10th round.
