You are about 4 miles from my village, Whimple is lovely. A gorgeous little village. And incredibly expensive to buy property there!

Yes it is very nice. Well connected (I caught the train to Bristol from here on Saturday). I guess that’s partly why it’s so expensive. We’ve had a good week so far. Lovely afternoon at Sidmouth donkey sanctury today. Didn’t see any of our players warming up there

    In case you missed this...

Look out for The Turk’s Head (High St), the Ship Inn (Martin’s Lane), the Old Firehouse (New North Road), the White Hart (South St) and the Exonian (Fore St).

If you are on the Quay, the Prospect Inn is a local favourite and if you are near St. David’s, the Mill on the Exe is another.

Another one I forgot to mention is The City Gate by the Iron Bridge.

Thanks for reposting this - we’ll look out for those. Thinking of having tea in one of the whetherspoons and then taking it from there. I was thinking of heading to the Bowling Green as I like real ale and my OH likes craft cider.

  3. Like everyone I’m fed up of seeing all this time wasting, but if two players go down ‘injured’ it must be quite difficult for the ref to have absolute confidence that one or possibly both are faking. It seems refs are taking the safer option of adding on the extra time, as demonstrated by recent games where we’ve had extra time in excess of 5-6 minutes. This gets further manipulated when the time wasting continues into the injury time. I don’t think the ref fully accounted for this yesterday and I think another minute should have added for the extra injury time. Perhaps some sort of playing time rule would help, but can’t see much appetite for this as it isn’t so much of the problem as you go further up the leagues.

My suggestion would be for the team to convert more of their chances on goal, so we can all stop talking about this 😃

I am hoping for 1 ticket for Bristol Rovers and 2 for Exeter. I’m an away member, but with less than 5 matches, so I am in the last membership window (which opens next Wednesday at 10am).

Not that confident there will be any Bristol ones left by then, so have registered on their website in case. However, when I went on to see how it worked, it wouldn’t let me buy a ticket because I’m a ‘newly registered client’ which I guess is their way of preventing away fans doing what I am trying to do 😂

Anyone got any tips about getting around this? This is my first ever post BTW 👍

Update: I was one of the lucky few that bagged a Bristol Rovers ticket at around 10am. It was touch and go. Lots of refreshing the tickets page and being quick at clicking the mouse. Pleased as there was no way I was getting a ticket in the home end.

I managed to get 1 ticket for Exeter. I hope to get the other one on Saturday.

Anyway we are spending the week in Devon so should be a nice way spend out time

I bought two on the BRFC site last week with no problems at all. I registered for two accounts, activated them both, linked them together and bought through their Ticketmaster system, two print at home tickets. I've reached my 10 purchases through DCFC away for this season and I bought in the home end at Mansfield, Burton, Cheltenham, Wycombe, Oxford, Forest Green and Bristol Rovers. The only club I came across who barred anyone with no previous history of ticket purchases was Fleetwood. It could be they have put a barrier up because they have now seen an unusually high demand for tickets in the home end.

It must be me then - I think I may need to delete what I’ve registered so far and start again. I’ve missed out on a a few of those games you’ve listed as I am a bit late to the sitting in the home end party. I’ve got my 10 away games in for this season too, so no desperate need to go in away ends. Got a home ticket for Forest Green now and am throughly looking forward to watching an away match from a seated position 😂

    Right, I will try a again 👍
