Maharan got a reaction from jimtastic56 in 83 million in debt
I don't know the answer, but the simple fact is other championship clubs aren't in administration. (yet?)

It is a sobering figure. All eyes on HMRC now to see how flexible they will be.

Maharan got a reaction from RadioactiveWaste in Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby
Let's not lose sight of why Derby fans are raising funds for St John's Ambulance, and that's nothing to do with Gibson.
As others have said, I can't help but feel there is something else going on here. The legal case doesn't seem to make any sense or have a cats chance in hell of success when looked at in isolation. I dunno, it's odd and appears to be petty, but being the natural pessimist that I am, I can't help but wonder if there's more to it. If there isn't, then this kind of claim undermines the integrity of the league, and hopefully they throw the book at them.

Maharan reacted to europia in 83 million in debt
All said and done, a significant debt. It's one thing owing millions to club owners, but that's simply not the case with DCFC. The £29m to HMRC is an interesting one, if it's unpaid PAYE & NI. The majority, if not all business's now operate RTI, so effectively the PAYE & NI declaration (FPS) is due on or before the employees payday. The tax is due around a month later (unless paying quarterly). HMRC does not take late payments lightly, so how a business can amass a tax debt of £29m beggars belief. We all have to pay our taxes, whether we agree or not. No one enjoys paying, but taxation keeps the country functioning, and pays for healthcare, education, security etc.

Maharan got a reaction from i-Ram in Is Mel liable?
Completely agree. If he also wants to return PP to the club, then that's also acceptable!
