Does anybody suffer from friends who can go on and on about trivial matters which you are just not interested ? I could understand hanging on the phone discussing something important like sports. If it's at night/weekend or any other time that excuse wouldn't convince, I just say "Sorry I'm losing signal I'll ring you back really sorry" then hang up.
