StaffsRam
Every single one of those games was a friendly. Big deal. We beat Spain, the best side in the world, in a friendly. Slack defending is slack defending. We exposed it a number of times, even with our limited attacking forays. Fantastic throughballs by Young - there are far better players than Young that France will come across. In Evra, Mexes, Rami and Debuchy they have a decent defence You're half right. Mexes is not a great defender. Neither is Evra. Debuchy and Rami are very good. Wouldn't surprise me if you start seeing Mexes playing less and less going forward, and Sakho more and more. M'Vila is a superb defensive midfielder. Unfortunately for the French, he wasn't playing.
smiffy
Is that the French defense that was torn to shreds when Milner should have scored, that is the defense you mean Bris isn't it,good job for them it was not Rooney, it would have been bye bye froggys

McRamFan
It was the first game for both teams and both could not afford to lose if they wanted to progress. France never had us pinned back and under pressure for long periods, we did allow them to come on to us, however as has been said if you pass sidewards and backwards you won't score goals. We looked good on the break, and some passes that came through would have distroyed lesser teams. There are no easy matches in the Euro's and its a long hard slog.
