james_ram
Pep Guardiola to end reign as Barcelona coach in summer Pep Guardiola will quit as Barcelona manager at the end of the season after deciding not to renew his one-year contract, Reuters news agency reports. The 41-year-old, who made 479 appearances for Barca between 1990 and 2001, was appointed in 2008 and has led the Catalan club to 13 trophies. But they look set to miss out to Real Madrid in La Liga and were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea. It is understood that Guardiola will take a year-long break from the game. More to follow. Hucknall Ram
If Man City don't win the title this season, I can see Pep their manager next season
Ambitious
I doubt it, he wants a break from football due to the pressures at Barca and I can only see him going to the truly biggest clubs in the world. I think his next move, depending on time....etc will be to Man United.
EastKentRam
Would love for him to manage an English club, not that i love the Premier League or anything but it would be great for it if he joined and could change the English game for ever. StaffsRam
^^ LOL He's stated a desire to come to the Premier League on more than a few occasions. I think it's a safe bet that when he's done with his break, he'll turn up over here.
EastKentRam
Im sure Bris will need the day off work after hearing this emotional news, hope he's alright. In all seriousness, it's sad to see Pep go, could potentially be the end of an era for one of, if not, the greatest team that has ever played the game.
