ImNotReallyHere
What is that shirt, 'We only need 10 men', walking back to the train station, saw a few of these shirts from behind. Or I saw the same bloke 3 times, no idea 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
trooper
We beat our rivals forest 2-1 after having our keeper sent off after 2 minutes and going a goal down from the resulting penalty, it was also at there ground to make it a little sweeter!! ImNotReallyHere
Hajduk Split - Croatia FC Thun - Switzerland Dynamo Kiev - Ukraine Maccabi Tel Aviv - Israel Besiktas - Turkey Valencia - Spain There's our European tour, don't get what your point was. We've beat all of them teams apart from Dynamo kiev (drew home and away) aswell, and lost just one, Besiktas away where we played a second strong. Am I missing something, are you really mocking our European tour(even if it is hardly western Europe)? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> No mean feat to get the results we have in a hard group full of European experience and pedigree. Before anybody calls it a tin pot competition (as most fans who haven't experienced it call it), you'd all give your left testicle to be in it, I know I would have done 5 years ago. By the way congrats on the 2-1 win, honestly. Nahh I'll stop being a dick now, I'm sure it was brilliant.
curb
Ah well, who can blame you for enjoying your week in the sun, you've had some lean times over years. But I'm seriously not that bothered, our big game's next week, I didn't even realise you were IN a European competition until last week, never mind who you'd played against. (oh, I know where Valencia is BTW 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> )
ImNotReallyHere
It was only a big game for us because we got to the final, we've got a taste of it now, and we have a good chance of getting to Wembley again. Surely you knew where Dynamo Kiev was aswell?!?

CumbrianRam
I suppose the Mestilla beats feckin Doncaster 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />, in the past we have great chances to get in Europe but always fecking blew it. All I want Derby to before I go is to be in a major cup final and a season in Europe, the day after the League Cup semi-final defeat was horrible! Don't think it'll ever happen though. Would've happened in the early '90s but English clubs were banned... and if we had beaten millwall in the floodlight failure game (we were winning at the time) we would have got into Europe that season! DCFC_4_LIFE
It was wimbledon! Anyway Stokey, 5 years ago you were getting 9000 attendances! We've always had 20k+ atleast. So you may be having your fun now but it wont last because your a small club and a town full of inbreds!!

I said that 5 years ago! It's a long time in football anything can happen, good or bad. It was wimbledon! Anyway Stokey, 5 years ago you were getting 9000 attendances! We've always had 20k+ atleast. So you may be having your fun now but it wont last because your a small club and a town full of inbreds!! Ooooo, claws away kitten. 16,000 was our average actually, pretty good considering the tripe that's been served up for the 30 years previously, plus we share a city with another football league team. Stoke has a slightly bigger population, but both Derby and Stoke are around 250,000. Small club though? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Selling out every week (actually selling out means a good atmosphere, you know not empty seats everywhere) and sold out nearly 40,000 seats for Wembley in the Semi-final. Love the inbred insult though, from what I've gathered, most of the trouble (hand bags) in Derby was caused by your lot.
StaffsRam
I hate it when people bring up the "We've always had 20,000" argument. No we haven't. When we were promoted to the Premier League before moving to PP the capacity wasn't even 20,000. I remember gates of 12/13k in the old second division when we were trying to get promoted. ImNotReallyHere
Thanks for that little nugget Staffs. The same applies to every club of our size though, with no success for a long time, gates inevitably drop. Where in Staffs do you live?
StaffsRam
When our great team of the 70s fell apart and we slipped down the leagues our attendances gradually declined to the point that at no time in the 80s did we ever average over 20,000. At times we were down to 11,000 (1985). We were fortuitous that our return to the Premier League near enough coincided with us moving to PP. The capacity was increased dramatically from what we had at the BBG, and we had a better standard of football on offer. Didn't hurt that we had an attractive side to watch at the time (Wanchope, Eranio, Asanovic, Stimac, Baiano etc). The Good news for us this time is that even over the last 10 years, when times have been hard, we've still retained the majority of that increase. I'm up on Biddulph Moor mate, right out in the sticks!
