-JW-
England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson has retired from international rugby. The 32-year-old won 91 England caps, kicked the winning drop-goal in the 2003 World Cup final and played six Tests for the British and Irish Lions. "I would like to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from international rugby," said Wilkinson. "To do so fills me with great sadness, but I know I have been blessed in so many ways to have experienced what I have with the England rugby team." Despite a career plagued by injury, Wilkinson is England's all-time leading scorer with 1,179 points.
-JW-
Cant believe he's only 32 seems to have been around for ages. He is the only rugby player i've heard of apart from that bloke tindall who tossed a dwarf at a party.

Pearl Ram
I always thought he looked an idiot with that hand clasping stance that looked like he was having trouble on a toilet. I have no time for rugby, it seems to attract fans that think they are superior to football fans and the game itself is too stoppy and starty for me. People only play rugby because they can't control a football.

ladyram
Sorry to hear that. Maybe there is something in it....I'm just thinking of the way rugby fans do things. No segregation, they just stand wherever and have no probs going for a pint afterwards with opposing fans, even if it's Eng v the Scots, they'll drink before and after, whatever the result. That wouldn't happen in football would it? I'm not suggesting for a minute rugby fans take the moral high ground - they just do things differently I s'pose.
