trekkie_ram
Looking to have a break with just me and the missus in the new year, we enjoy going to shows. We've seen: Chicago, Lion King, We Will Rock You, Avenue Q & Wicked. Has anyone seen anything recently that they would highly recommend? We'd prefer something modern, so not Phantom of the Opera etc. And/or we'd like to go to a comedy club, does anyone have any recommendations in London? Suggestions on cheap & cheerful places to stay on good underground lines, close to the shows would be good too =) Thanks!

PrivateDerby
Took mine to Landaan last Christmas. We saw Dirty Dancing (my choice obviously) and It wasn't too bad...... Paid dividends in the end and had a good couple of days!

trekkie_ram
Just to update, booked to see Ghost The Musical. £70 for 2 tickets. Better than that though, I booked the hotel through LastMinute.com's top-secret hotel promotion, paid £85 for 2 nights in central London and it turned out to be the 4* Hilton Olympia. trekkie_ram
Went Wed-Fri. Shrek & Ghost were both excellent. The main stars from Ghost left last week though to take the show to broadway.
WorksopRam
Sometimes the understudies can be better, they just don't normally get a shot cos they don't bring in the big name appeal.
