Subman
Right 40 applications in? That can’t be right, admittedly I did apply as did my dog and my goldfish, so I expect that brings it down to 30's now. Great idea - and goldfish wouldn't be upset after every game as wouldn't remember what happened!

I think we can all read between the lines on that one!
ladyram
Great idea - and goldfish wouldn't be upset after every game as wouldn't remember what happened! Ah - that's not strictly true Archram 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Goldfish have memories that last about a month apparantly - well, this is what research has said anyroad. All I know is, my comets know exactly what goes on in their tank and certainly know when it's feeding time. Greedy beggars.

Well my Goldfish is thick as shy't, here's an example : Every time I take him out of his bowl he tries to breath, every time I tell you! Surely he should have learnt by now he can’t breach air, he’s a flaming Goldfish? I’ve done it enough times. Boycie
Hey the price of gold fish is at a all time high. You ought to send it off in one of them envelopes and get cash sent back.

Can you let me have the address? There's a dead one in the garden somewhere - sure I could find it if I dig enough. Will pay you a small remuneration for alerting me to this money-making scheme! ladyram
I lost one of my Danio's last week. Sniff. I could have got money for that beggar! On the plus side, on the same day I lost him, I found 3 snails inside the tank. No clue where they came from but I think I've saved meself a few pennies, cos I was going to buy some. voyager1
I used to have Goldfish as pets and they always seem to remember to come up to the surface when I remove the lid to drop the Goldfish flakes. A Goldfish in charge of Forest may or may not remember what happened but they won't hear the boos when things go wrong as they're underwater. MrsRam
We have one goldfish left out of a pair we bought - 99p from Pets At Home - 6 years ago. Every morning, I think, oh dear, the fish is dead - open the top - the bloody thing comes up like a piranah. I'm sure it would eat out my hands but have a fear of ending up with a stripped to the bone hand. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> As long as Our Nige hasn't applied - I don't care who wants the job. It's going to take time for them to adjust to all the change that has happened. Just like it did us.

Me comets have a nibble on me fingers hunting for food, they don't bother me now but it was wierd at first. Years ago I kept some fruit eating pirhannas. Their teeth were tiny but I wouldn't stick me hand in there. Stoopid fish though, for fruit eaters, they ate bacon!! Even though Nigel's contract runs out in the summer, wouldn't compensation have to be paid now?
