archram
Since we were given a break to do other things,it doesn't tell me what I haven't read or let me go to1st unread post. This could just be punishment for me as I'm leading the prediction league - but it's entirelya fluke, honest!! David
When you click View New Content, on the left is it set to unread posts and forums? Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7553-unread-posts/#findComment-206651 Share on other sites
archram
It's set to Forums and Posts since I last visited. The page that comes up doesn't have any black circles at the side, nor are they on the thread so I can't go straight to new posts. The main forum doesn't have the ram in bold to show new content. uttoxram75
None of my unread posts are in bold....had a fiddle with the settings but it appears I am clueless/useless/old (delete as appropiate). Somehow the only section in bold showing unread posts is the Entertainment one,..can't get the others???? uttoxram75
Honestly! It makes me wonder how some people survive when they can't even navigate round the basic settings of a forum... David
The software support guys got back to me and we've been given the all clear. Hello, I looked around and your forum is both very clean, and runs very well from my testing. You don't have any issues that I see at all, there are no third party apps, no add ons... it both looks and performs very well, database looks good, indexes etc... all good shape. If you run into this issue again, please let us know and mark the ticket as an emergency, so we can hope right on and look at it.. from what I'm seeing, it looks to have been a hosting issue that has been resolved. Thank you Rhett Invision Power Services, Inc. Still not exactly sure what the unread post issue is, but starting a fresh seems to cure it anyhow.
