adamD
1.is riggott signing for us permanently?? 2. and who the hell in our squad is going to fill the boots of commons who scored 13 goals in half a season which effectively kept us up (if we got someone like Ishmal miller this would work)? just curious
Alex W
I hate the line 'Without Commons we wouldn't have stayed up'. If Commons hadn't been playing, someone else would have. Each game would have been different, chances would have fallen to other players rather than us just not scoring the 13 goals he did. 1. Yes, if he can get fit. 2. More of a collective effort this time round, which is better I think. Good to know that you aren't relying on one game changer, when you've got a few players who can change the game themselves. Albeit, not as spectacularly.

Leeds Ram
I am not sure if collective is always better, are united on the pitch better off without ronaldo? i wouldn't say they were, they are more of a tight knit unit relying on one another but i wouldn't say they are better. Commons was the only our player who can make goal out of nothing. 1. I would say get rid fat Buxton and sign Riggott up. Both of them are sicknotes but Chris is much much better player. 2. Tyson... oh dear... I hope Ward can do a job. Maybe Steve Davies... if fit.

If Commons hadn't been with us, then we'd have played someone else in his place, and probably played a little differently too. The chances would have fallen to other players and who's to say that without Commons we'd have gone down? How do we know we wouldn't have scored more? Improbable, very improbable, but just because he did score 13 goals doesn't mean we'd have gone down without him, because we don't know how we'd have coped otherwise. adamD
well in all fairness u need a mixture of a huge togetherness and then one or two indiviual talents much like qpr had last season when the ripped this league apart
Alex W
True, but they had a player who should never have been in this league really! You need a solid bunch and one or two explosive players. Two in a team, I think. Maguire and Bryson seem like they could create things pretty well, Cywka will add the odd bit of flair and Bailey can carve open defenses. If we can keep them all on the pitch (highly doubtful), then we may not really need a 'Commons' or 'Taarabt'.
CumbrianRam
I'd rather have O'Brien than Riggott.
Gary Teale
I'd rather have O'Brien than Riggott. Based on all them games O'Brien has played.
CumbrianRam
He's had a pretty good pre-season and Riggott will spend a lot of the season out injured. We also have plenty of centre back cover and we aren't lacking in central midfield.

Sometimes players do recover you know?
