smiffy
Forest’s wage bill exceeds its turnover – which is roughly £14.5M – and only the continued investment of millions of pounds every year from the Chairman allows that to happen. Blackpool meanwhile achieved promotion, defeating Forest 4 times in a single season in the process, on a turnover of only £9M (although once bonuses for promotion were included wages exceeded turnover, at approximately £13M, still lower than Forest’s, who had no such bonuses to pay). [url=http://mistrollingin.wordpress.com/2011/05/30/nottingham-forest-reflections-part-2-%E2%80%93-billy-davies/]http://mistrollingin...3-billy-davies/ Maybe we should add some boll*ks as you seem to like them......... 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> I bet you believe the Mirror, they dont have the highest wage bill (supposedly ), and the Ex Chairman has pulled the plug, why don't you think another club is capable of doing what we have done ? What has the Mirror got to do with anything? Forest are going to need money as they lost 10million last year and this season is going significantly worse so far in terms of football, results, crowds, manager and tv money. They will need money just to avoid administration- they can't just sack the players without paying them, they can't even mortgage the stadium because its not theirs! They may be able to rebuild on a shoestring (I doubt it) but not this season- and next season they won't be allowed any input because of the fair play rules. All in all they are screwed for a while yet

Donny Ram
No more than us, or Middesbro, or Liverpool, or Bolton, or Wolves etc..... Not so, Forest trade with a £10.8m deficit which rether alters the financial equation. Boro are a slightly different case with Steve Gibson but even they will have to comply with the new regulations. Just one point though on the parachute payment alteration, relegated clubs will get the payment for 4 years, the first 2 at an inflated rate and then a lower rate for the next 2 years, this will be a massive advantage, more so than the previous system. Premiership teams will have a further 2 years to come in line but they will be governed by the 100% level the same as the Championship. Relegated sides to League 1 will eventiually have to reduce their bill to 60% of revenue unless they get promoted within 2 seasons. It's going to be interesting to see other clubs go through the same pain we have had to endure over the last few seasons. Glick has played a blinder in using his infkluence to get this voted through. curb
He's distanced himself from it, they can't even attract a non-league manager, love it! Also love the idiots burying their heads in the sand thinking they're going to carry on losing 10 mill a year, who's going to put the money in? Dourty has said it's not going to be him. They're heading for another 3 years in league 1 while they cull the wage bill, only problem is after a couple of years in league 1 they're going to have to cut back from 100% of turnover (which they are a million miles away from atm) to 60% of turnover. Screwed isn't the word. All them divs protesting and not realising what was coming, priceless. Now they've also got BD scurrying about in the background, do they think he'd have hung around in the financial climate they are in now? Not a chance. They don't even realise that he's the reason they have failed with their shot at getting up, their squad wasn't good enough for this level, and they'd have been woefully short if they HAD have gone up last season, however he's now there in the background every time any future manager loses a game. Shame, I almost feel sorry for them 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

p.shilton
So they are talking out of their arses then? Calibre of people applying? There aren't many managers out of work who would be of good calibre and be interested in that pile of shi*e. Probably not the best idea to basically call Doughty (his boss) a liar on the first day of his appointment either!
