Seriously though not too arsed about this one, 2 million seems pretty steep for a position were already overloaded in with average strikers. Some of have to be sold now. randombc Posted August 11, 2012 Share Posted August 11, 2012 Remains to be seen whether he'll be any good at this level, could turn out to be a Craig Mickail Smith signing in which he makes the step up, and live with his high valuation or could be a Freddy Eastwood where he flops like a bag of spuds! Genuinely wouldnt of liked him at Derby, no doubt a good player, but not the player we need at this time, Cox is 5ft 11, we need a player of 6ft 3 to hold the ball up. Will be interesting to see whether he does score goals, you haven't really got anyone else in the team with that clinical touch so teams may just double up on him, and mark him out the game, and let the chances fall to people like Matt Derbyshire... Halford - £500,000 This takes your spend to over £5,000,000, disregarding agent fees etc. Although you will give me the tosh about getting £2.3 million, but I'd guess most of this went on paying Cotterill compensation, and buying S.O.D out of his contract at Crawley.
