StaffsRam
^^ To be fair though, he surely can't have been as bad as McClown - Miller, Reid, Derbyshire, Boateng etc all fooking sh1te and on far more than they're worth.

BoozeMonkey
So no silly wages that make the clubs lose millions a year and have a wage bill in excess of income in his time at Forest? But for forest its so hard to stay afloat anyway, we dont have a stadium where you can hold concerts and stuff like you guys, im pretty sure pie auctions sponsor deal was less than a million too so come on

Seems like they're going to continue McClown's excellent work from the start of last season. Bravo.

That's for Premier League sides - have they actually said what the punishments are in the lower leagues?
trekkie_ram
That's for Premier League sides - have they actually said what the punishments are in the lower leagues? To my knowledge no, but that's my point, there isn't one. It's an idea with a lovely name, but no substance. And even if it had substance, logically the new Forest owners could change the 'City Ground' to 'Kuwait #1 Super Stadium England', and 'pay' £1billion a year for that sponsorship. Even the Premier League version of FFP is open to abuse by clubs who are determined to get money in. FFP needs to be subject to oversight, accounts should be scrutinized, and any offences should result in points penalties on a sliding scale matched against severity of the offence. Joel
Yes there are punishments for the Football League version of FFP. They don't come into effect for another two seasons though in order for clubs to get their finances in order. Clubs can lose a maximum of £10million this season, £8million in 2013/14, £6million for 2014/15 and £5million thereafter. If clubs post loses that exceed these amounts for and after 2014/15 they can be placed under a transfer embargo until their finances are in compliance to the laws or if the club is promoted to the Premier League they will be fined a percentage or "Fair Play Tax" on the excess that they failed to fulfil the Fair Play requirement. This can range from 1% on the first £100,000 to 100% on anything over £10million.
