The former boxer Sir Henry Cooper OBE has died aged 76.

Sir Henry was known known for a particularly effective left hook and for his knockdown of Cassius Clay, later known as Muhammad Ali, in 1963.

Ali eventually won the non-title bout at Wembley and triumphed when the pair met again three years later.

Sir Henry was hugely popular with the British public and was knighted in 2000.

Aw, that's really sad news. RIP Henry.

Just going off topic for a mo here but yesterday 'whispering' Ted Lowe - the voice of snooker - passed away too. There's a thing he said years ago in the days before colour telly became the norm...

..."And for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink ball is the one tucked behind the blue". Brilliant. RIP Ted.
