uttoxram75
Not sure if there is/was a song thread on here, if so feel free to move it there. A few of us made up a drunken version of MY WAY many moons ago on a long away trip and it always stuck in my mind as a potential anthem type song for Derby. My version would be summat like this...... And now, the Rams are here From Buxton down to Burton my friend, we'll drink your beer and shag your sheep, of that I'm certain we've lived, a life thats full we travel each and every highway and more, much more than this, we are Derby............... For what is a Ram, if not the best a Derby fan who hates forest, we'll always fight, for the black and white cos' we are Derrrrby might be better for away games..... EastKentRam
There was so many good songs created on that thread on the Det, dont think any of them ever got started. We only sing the same recycled crap that every other club sings.
Boycie
Maybe the guys in the East corner who start the songs don't read?
Leeds Ram
maybe, or maybe enough people just don't sing
Boycie
If there was something new worth singing, I'm sure it could get going. The split singing sections just doesn't help, as much as I admire their effort, you cannot hear them, so the away fans can't hear them. What's the point in that? Unless they're just doing it for the home fans? I think the Barmy need to just come back down into the south West corner. Because them lads who sit just near there on the bit before the corner can make some noise when the away fans taunt them.
Leeds Ram
yeah, but at away games more need to sign as well, like at bristol there were about 20 people on the back two rows singing and that was it, everyone was just standing there
Boycie
That was the famous Barmy Army. They are a credit to the away support. There are others who sing away as well, who don't consider themselves in the official Barmy, but just the collective I assume. Don't you have to have "dcfc" as your middle name on Facebook or summart?
Leeds Ram
it wasn't though, because i knew them lot as i was standing with them, they all sit in the east stand corner honestly.

Sir Me
Out of the '20' or so you say were singing, at least 15 of us sit in the North Stand. I doubt that you know the all Young Ram.
Boycie
Thought it was strange t'Barmy not being there?
EastKentRam
The atmosphere at Bristol City was dire, has been most of the time away from home. Was decent at Leeds and Donny, Ipswich wasnt bad for about 400. Trouble is that most of the song starters just start the same old **** over and over again. Whenever anyone tries to start anything new they just get drowned out.
Boycie
I guess the new songs aren't on the official Barmy songs list?
RamNut
surely the old songs are the best.... Please play anything by Dame Vera Lynn for me and my goat Basil but I would especially like... "you're **** and you know you are" wonderful
