MB turned out for Burton Albion tonight in a pre-season friendly against Belper Town at the Raygar Stadium aka Christchurch Meadow.

Looks about three stones overweight, never broke sweat and his best moment was when Lewis Austin a 17 yo very talented young player from Belper's academy took the ball off him, resisted Bennett's attempts to foul him and laid a 40 yard ball off to a team mate.

Bennett just turned away and shook his head.

Taxi for Bennett....

A very impressive Belper performance saw them win 3-0 with 2 goals from Luke Rawson (ex Stocksbridge) and one for the aforementioned Lewis Austin.  

Oh and an out of work Gary Rowett was also in attendance.

If only he'd ordered one of those on that fateful night. His career may not have nosedived like it has. He needs something to ignite it............not Pride Park, his career.

Believe Finn Delap also played for Burton. Wasn’t there myself but Rory turns up to this friendly most years. Saw Jamie Ward there last year too.
