Day
DERBY County are facing fresh concern over Chris Porter's troublesome hip following last night's Carling Cup exit. Porter needed treatment in the first half of the 1-0 defeat by League Two side Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road and the striker was replaced at the break. Rob Hulse, a goal hero in Saturday's opening League victory at Leeds, came on but the Rams still crashed out of the competition at the first round stage. Derby will now check on Porter. "We are not sure what it is but it's something to do with his hip again or in that area," said manager Nigel Clough. "We are absolutely sick to death of it because we have had it for about a year now, him and his hip." http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/football/Rams-rocked-fresh-injury-fear-Porter/article-2513679-detail/article.html
Boycie
We really need to act NOW regarding another striker. He can't trap a bag of spuds, he can head ball, but only that will not be enough in this one man up front system.
Day
Sounds like Cloughs abit pissed off with it all, will that kick him into action...we'l have to wait and see. Can't we send Porter in for one of those hip replacements on th NHS?

Kris Marina
A loan signing about now would be nice. Someone with good control, a bit of pace and can finish. Anyone have any ideas? If so, send em to the board!

Leeds Ram
we do need a new striker, clohgie sounded fed up by the sounds of it on the interview, i think he said somthing about little money i can't remember, he said he wants a loan signing, if we can get somone who's any good i wouldn't be opposed to it. Day
If I was Clough I'd wait until the Premiership clubs have named their 25 man squads, could be some decent loan signings to be had after the weekend.
Leeds Ram
I agree, he said he was contacting them in the interview i think, with the formation we play we should be ok but you always have to be safe rather than sorry.
