So on that basis, not just Derby but every other club in the Championship as well.

I expected more from this club this season, I don't think it's unfair to say that. We've been a shambles. And we were for a large part of last season too. Teams like Barnsley who stayed up by a point last season are now looking good for the playoffs.

By that logic Arsenal must take the prize then? They've been in the top flight since they bribed their way there in the 1920s.

So for a boring life support Arsenal.

For a team that reflects the unpredictable vicissitudes of life support Derby.

Strangely enough there is no rule that says that you are inextricably linked to one team for a lifetime.

As an example, I have been a Rams supporter (AKA 'a fan') since 1969. I could change allegiance to Leeds, Forest or Millwall and nobody could stop me.

Mind you, you'd have to shoot me first!

But Arsenal won the league in the top tier, Coventry had a best place finish of 6th.
