If the DOF has a working relationship with the manager.. ie knows exactly what is required and what the manager needs, then definitely. If it's someone to come in and just spend the little funds that we have on anybody with a high price tag.. then  definitely not.

Agreed. And in fairness that has been out transfer policy since Mel and Stephen Pearce have been running the club... surely cant get any worse, that is why a DoF doesnt necessarily come from a football back ground, they are typically businessmen, most DoFs have never been managers.
