Day Posted June 30, 2010 Share Posted June 30, 2010 Derby County winger Lee Croft has agreed to join nPower League One Huddersfield Town on a half-season loan until January 2011. The right winger was a regular in Nigel Clough's side at the start of last season, after arriving on a free transfer from Norwich City in June. However, the 25-year-old made just one start in 2010 and found himself out of the first-team picture. Huddersfield narrowly missed out on promotion last season after falling short in the playoff semi finals against Millwall, who eventually gained promotion to English football's second tier with a Wembley victory over Swindon Town. Terriers boss Lee Clark is gearing his side up for another promotion push this time around and Croft becomes his fifth signing of the summer. Town will kick off their 2010/11 campaign at League One newboys Notts County on the opening day of the season. Croft made his breakthrough at Manchester City as a teenager and registered 32 appearances while also earning England U20 honours.
