Zag zig
Shame, still seems young at 76. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/33993-martin-peters-has-died-rip/#findComment-1792842 Share on other sites
uttoxram75
Another World Cup hero gone, superb footballer who was usually well liked by opposing fans. Seemed to glide over the terrible pitches and industrial tackles of that era and never looked like his kit needed washing, RIP Martin. Brammie Steve
Superb midfielder, real gent and a great ambassador for all that is (and definitely was) finest in the beautiful game. The third part of the '66 West Ham trio who captained and scored the goals in the final. Enjoyed seeing part of his interview when asked about his 'ghost' goal when everyone 'remembers' Geoff Hurst's hat-trick (even if it was before they were born!) "If I hadn't scored that goal we'd have lost to West Germany 2-1!" Can't argue with that! Thanks for the memories. RIP Martin.
