Ghost of Clough
Defensive mistakes, refereeing blunders, and a lack of balance within the team has left us with 8 points from 8 games - equivalent to narrowly avoiding relegation. We've conceded 7 penalties so far this season (only 5 scored) which means we need to score 1 a game just to have a chance of a point. cut out the silly fouls and loose passing and we'll comfortably be midtable (10th-16th) With key players returning from injury (Holmes, Bogle), others getting up to match fitness (Bielik, Martin) I see us pushing for a play off spot (6th-10th). Then add either better refs (fewer obvious mistakes) or fairer refs (bad decisions are fairly even for both sides), then I see us sneaking into the playoffs.
